Why This Matters

The QSR industry is massive—over 200,000 franchised locations employing 4 million people. But high turnover means you're constantly training new staff. This OS gives your team a "second brain" so they can execute consistently, even when they're new.

How Your Day Actually Runs

The Daily Rhythm

These seven moments happen every single day. When they're done right, your shift runs like clockwork. When they're skipped or rushed, everything falls apart.

Built for Real People, Real Pressure

This isn't a binder that sits on a shelf. It's a living system designed around how people actually work—especially when they're stressed, new, or both.

Reduces Mental Load

During peak rush, your team doesn't have to remember everything. The system remembers for them. It's like having a second brain that never gets overwhelmed.

Makes Standards Clear

No more "I thought you meant..." conversations. Everyone knows exactly what "good" looks like, which means less rework and fewer conflicts.

Makes It Safe to Ask for Help

When calling out problems is normal and expected, issues get fixed before they become disasters. Your team can flag things without feeling like they're failing.

Coaches in Real Time

Instead of long training sessions that everyone forgets, coaching happens in small moments throughout the day. Quick prompts and teach-backs that actually stick.

How It All Fits Together

The OS has four building blocks. Moments organize your day. Projects are the checklists you actually use. Playbooks are your reference guides. Training gets people ready. They all work together.

Moments

Time-based routines that match your shift—Opening, Rush, Closing, and everything in between.

Projects

Short, actionable checklists with clear owners. The stuff your team actually does, step by step.

📖

Playbooks

Your SOPs and reference guides. When someone needs to know "how do we handle this?" the answer is here.

🎓

Training

Role-based learning paths that get people ready fast. Teach-backs and drills, not death-by-PowerPoint.

The Motivator: Training That Feels Like Progress

High turnover means constant training. But training doesn't have to feel like a chore. The QSR OS includes a pre-configured set of entitlements and rewards that make learning engaging with achievements, status progression, and awards. Admins can customize these for their particular needs, making training something your team wants to do, not just something they have to do.

Your Seven Daily Moments

Each moment has a clear goal, owner, and checklist. Here's what they look like in practice.

Opening

Everything needs to be ready before the first customer walks in. Equipment, food safety, and stations all at par.

45–75 min

Goal: Start the day ready—equipment working, stations stocked, safety checks done.

Owner: Shift Lead

Key Checks: Equipment ready, temp logs complete, stations at par

Watch-outs: Temp logs without stability, FIFO misses, sanitizer not tested

Coaching prompt: "What's the one check that prevents the biggest miss today?"

Pre-Shift Huddle

Quick alignment on positions, priorities, and what to watch for. No long meetings—just clarity.

5–7 min

Goal: Get everyone on the same page before the shift starts.

Owner: Shift Lead

Key Checks: Roles assigned, top priority clear, escalation plan stated

Watch-outs: No backups planned, meeting runs too long, no repeat-back

Coaching prompt: "Newest person repeats the 3 priorities."

Pre-Rush Reset

Stock, sanitize, and stage everything you need. Do this 10–15 minutes before peak, and rush goes smoothly.

8–12 min

Goal: Lock down the line before the wave hits.

Owner: Shift Lead

Key Checks: Critical items staged, sanitizer verified

Watch-outs: Wrong staging, dirty sanitizer, shortages discovered mid-rush

Coaching prompt: "What runs out first in 20 minutes—what's our move?"

Rush Execution

This is where it all comes together. Fast, accurate, and recoverable when things go sideways.

Peak window

Goal: Speed and accuracy under pressure.

Owner: Shift Lead

Key Checks: Accuracy checks done, ticket times tracked, recovery logged

Watch-outs: Speed over accuracy, silent station swaps, inconsistent recovery

Coaching prompt: "Call out your accuracy steps for this bag."

Post-Rush Recovery

Rush leaves a mess. This moment gets everything back to baseline so you're ready for the next wave.

12–20 min

Goal: Get back to standard quickly.

Owner: Shift Lead

Key Checks: Stations back to par, breaks resequenced, next rush prep started

Watch-outs: Reset unfinished, guest areas drift, prep skipped

Coaching prompt: "What must be true before we're back to standard?"

Shift Handoff

Cash, inventory, issues—everything the next shift needs to know. No surprises.

10–15 min

Goal: Transfer the store cleanly to the next shift.

Owner: Shift Lead

Key Checks: Issues recorded, variances noted, next plan set

Watch-outs: Cash variance delayed, out-of-stocks not escalated, issues lost

Coaching prompt: "Top 2 risks for the next 2 hours?"

Closing

The closing crew sets up the opening crew for success. Food safety, cleanliness, and security all locked down.

60–90 min

Goal: Safe food, clean store, secure cash, ready for tomorrow.

Owner: Shift Lead

Key Checks: Close checklist complete, food labeled and stored, lockup confirmed

Watch-outs: Cooling mistakes, cleaning uninspected, rushed single-person cash close

Coaching prompt: "If we open in 8 hours, what do we wish we did tonight?"
